Hello from Irina! It is March… and that means it is time for starting some new habits or improving our lives or spring cleaning. Many of you don’t know, but I am an expert at a technique called “sprinting”. So what is sprinting? It is a time period, usually 3 weeks, where you focus on a specific goal and work on it. It can be done individually or in a supportive group environment. The idea behind a sprint is to give some urgency to a goal, hopefully achieve the goal or start a habit, and then rest and celebrate. It is a very helpful technique because of the urgency of it.Instead of going for the goal of “this year I need to lose a little weight”- you have the 3 week goal of starting to go walking for 30 minutes a day… that is a concrete and measurable goal. Your focus would be to start a habit for helping you reach your bigger goal. Or if you wanted to work on a relationship you might make the goal of trying to say something nice to your significant other 3 times a day… or to plan a date night 2 times a week. For business goals you might make a goal of calling leads for 30 minutes a day. Whatever your ultimate goals, sprinting helps you focus on something for a limited amount of time and make substantial progress towards it.I am organizing a group sprint. That means that I will be coaching everyone involved in a group format. I will share what helps, what works and what hinders most people’s progress. I will be sharing what types of goals to avoid, the psychology involved, and how to make sprinting a habit. There will be a once a week group sharing session via Skype. There is also group daily accountability with a text to the group about what you did (or didn’t do) towards your goal. The accountability of the group can help you also stay on track. It is a very friendly and supportive project and I encourage everyone to give it a try.I am charging $15 for all of this and the proceeds will go towards supporting Ukraine, especially displaced families and children from the war.
